Easter Chicks!

Tweet! Tweet!

Happy Easter! I spent Easter Mornin’ at ROCKHarbor watchign baptisms and interviewing little Jesus people for an article I’m writing for MOTION. In the afternoon a few girlfriends and I gathered for a Easter Picnic. I tried out this super cute Rice Crispy Chick recipe with Corn Flake nests. So cute and fun! They were a big hit with my lady friends and the recipe is super easy. All you do is make regular rice crispies and then while they’re still hot form them into two balls and add wings and a tail. Then to make the nest use the same ingredients for Rice Crispy treats just substitute corn flakes for rice crispies and insert jelly beans for beak and eyes. Super cute!

Birthday Cake Balloooooooooooooooooooons!

Happy Birthday Ari! Yummy!

My buddy Ari visited ol’ Newps from the Bay Area this weekend. It was his Birthday so in Nini Style I wanted to make him a cake. When I realized I didn’t have the proper frosting and coloring tools to do what I wanted I went to plan B and made my own “Decoration/Balloons of Ari and his friends.”

I took construction paper and cut it to a balloon shape then took pics of Ari and dudes and added little balloon saying over their heads. I then took silver wire, coiled it around my finger and glue gunned it to the back of the balloons. I think this idea was WAY cuter that the original. Isn’t it interesting how sometimes your dissapointment can be your fortune? I do!
